OWNER INFORMATION


 

  Important Information for Owners: 

 

          WATER CANCELLATION -  To avoid being charged for a "scheduled" water delivery, please contact the office, or update the owner sign-up sheets, before noon of the Wednesday preceeding the week that you are to receive water. As an example, if you were due to receive water on October 5, 2009, the office should have been notified of your cancellation, no later than noon Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Once the schedule is complete and water delivery process begins, you will be charged for the water delivery. 

Cancellation of water after scheduling is complete, places the Company in the position of having to divert the water that is pumped and allocated for your yard.  Where practical, the water is moved down the line to another water recipient, but in some cases it becomes necessary to shut the system off and  cease pumping until the water pumped is aligned to what will be used. 

For those of you who self-irrigate, the Company has a program whereby you can elect to receive a standing order of water and eliminate the bi-weekly sign up process.  At any time, should you chose to change your standing order or cancel water, please call the Company's business office and speak with either Patsy or Gayl. 

          WATER "PROBLEM"IMPORTANT:  If you have a water problem or an "emergency" situation during the Company's normal office hours or during the hours when irrigation is running, please telephone the office and your call will be answered, or forwarded to the water tenderer on-duty.   During those times when the water is running, the Company has someone on staff to take your calls 24 hours per day.

         OVERSEEDING - The season to over seed has arrived. Please coordinate your landscape maintenance activities with your irrigation delivery.  If you need to cancel your water, please notify us before it is scheduled to avoid being charged for the water.  As explained in the Company's cancellation policy, once scheduled, you will be charged for the water.

        CITRUS PICKING PROGRAM - Arcadia Water Company is working with Mike Summers as the time nears for the fruit to be picked.  If you are interested in obtaining Mike's services, please call, or e-mail us at awcwater@qwestoffice.net with your name, address, customer acct #,  the number and type of citrus trees that you want picked, and any special instructions.  Picking generally begins in December and is completed by April.   As we found out last year, the cost of picking Citrus is contingent on the ability of the picker to dispose of the fruit.  Acradia Water has been working with a local food bank and Mike Summers to improve neighborhood distribution of the fruit.  The 2009-2010 program is in the planning stages.  Once the details are firm, we will update the website.

        CITRUS REBATE – Arcadia Water Company continues to offer a rebate for the purchase and planting of citrus trees in the Arcadia Water District.  To take advantage of this program, send us the receipt for your purchase, along with your account number, mailing address and telephone number, to receive the annual rebate of $200.  Indicate if you wish to receive a cash rebate or have a credit applied to your water account. 

        TREE PAINTING SERVICES Arcadia Water Company will be painting trees during the months of November 2009 through February 2010.  The cost per tree is $ 20.00. Our window of opportunity to provide this service has been shortened.  If you are interested, please contact us ASAP to get your name on the list.


        REPAIRS During the winter schedule, November 2009 to February of 2010,  we have 2 weeks every month that we can do minor repairs to berms and irrigation pipelines.  If you need our services, please call us to get your name on the schedule.


        DIRECT DEBIT –  The Company offers direct debit service where the balance due on your account is directly debited from your checking account on or around the 10th of every month.  If you would like to participate in this program, please contact us by phone or through our website to receive the authorization form.

       CHANGE OF ADDRESS – As a reminder, the Company's physical address is 7000 E Via Soleri, Scottsdale, AZ 85251. One year ago the box number was changed to P. O. Box 1147, Scottsdale, AZ 85252.  For those of you who use an online bill pay service, please make sure to change the delivery address to the new box number.  The forwarding order is due to expire and your payments will be returned.

        ROOF RATS – As the fruit begins to ripen, roof rats are problematic.  There are several sources to turn to for help.  If you see evidence of roof rats, you can call:  Maricopa County Vector Control at 602-506-6616.  A second alternative;  Barry Pacely sells traps.  His telephone number is 602-273-0435.  Barry has a website RoofRat  that addresses the roof rat problem and how to control them.
