What is the cost for Arcadia Water's irrigation service?

What is the Arcadia Water Company's involvement with citrus?

The AWC's primary objective is the perpetuation of citrus growth in the Arcadia neighborhood. This is accomplished via irrigation, gleaning/picking, and encouraging replanting thru a subsidy program. Our neighborhood is defined by the mature citrus that AWC has nurtured for so many years. But, many of the trees are have aged to the point of requiring replacement. We hope you will take advantage of the generous rebate offer and add beauty to your yard while cleaning and cooling the surrounding area. There are many advantages to planting citrus and using AWC water to nourish their growth.

I understand that AWC sponsors a citrus rebate program. What are the general details?

The citrus rebate program has been a good stimulus for replanting citrus in our Arcadia citrus grove neighborhood. The program started in 2003 at a $100.00 rebate. It was renewed in 2004 at a $200.00 rebate per homeowner per year. When the rebate was doubled to $200.00 it really got attention. We are hoping that homeowners purchased a larger tree than they might have otherwise. The Board will continue this program for the 2005 budget year. After research in the metropolitan area we determined that Greenfield's Nursery in Northeast Mesa offered the largest trees at the best prices.

Will the newsletter mailings, billing notices, and "paper-based" scheduling process remain in effect?

Yes, yes, and yes...the Comapny plans to keep all current processes and proceedures in place until further notice. As the complexity of the website increases over time, this may change. You will be kept informed if anything changes.

Where can I purchase incremental or replacement citrus for my Arcadia property?

AWC recommends Greenfield's Nursery. Refer to our "useful links" page for their website.
